About Mr. Maher
Graduated from Penn State in May 1977 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a minor in Finance. Worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue from December 1977 through November 1985 in both personal income tax and corporate tax. From November 1985 until January 2013, Mr. Maher worked for the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission initially litigating base rate increase requests of natural gas and electric companies. After thirty-five years of state service Mr. Maher retired in January 2013 and now has more time to concentrate on and build his tax practice.
Mr. Maher passed the IRS Registered Tax Return Preparer exam in January 2013 has completed numerous continuing education courses since then and is currently preparing for the IRS’ Enrolled Agent Exam.
